The Communications EXCHANGE

Year: 2012

The COMMUNICATIONS X-CHANGE is an online library of materials contributed by organizations and individuals around the world who are working to end violence against women and children. A wide assortment of international content includes flyers, posters, videos, brochures, educational materials and more, all of which you can view and download free of charge. The project has been developed by Futures Without Violence with support from the Avon Foundation, and benefited from the contributions of organizations and experts from around the world.

The COMMUNICATIONS X-CHANGE represents an innovative approach to building a stronger worldwide movement to change attitudes, behaviors and build communities of respect. We hope you'll make the library even more powerful by submitting your materials dedicated to preventing violence against women and children, and use the information you find here to raise awareness and take action.

For more than 30 years, FUTURES has led the way and set the pace for ground-breaking education programs, national policy development, professional training programs, and communications campaigns designed to end violence against women, children and families around the world. In 1994, FUTURES was instrumental in developing the landmark Violence Against Women Act passed by the U.S. Congress. Providing leadership from offices in San Francisco, Washington D.C. and Boston, the organization has established a state-of-the-art Global Center for Leadership and Action in the Presidio of San Francisco to foster ongoing dialogue about gender-based violence and child abuse. Striving to reach new audiences and transform social norms, FUTURES trains professionals such as doctors, nurses, judges and coaches, to improve responses to violence and abuse.
