On June 28, 2012 the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) ruled to uphold the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Here you will find the almost 200 page document outlining the full SCOTUS decision. The Supreme Court upheld the majority of the law, only striking down the Medicaid expansion piece as unconstitutional. States will now get to decide on their own whether or not to implement Medicaid expansion, and they will no longer be penalized for choosing to not implement expansion.
