Suicides – United States, 2005 – 2009

As part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Health Disparities and Inequalities Report, the CDC examined the prevalence of suicide by sex, race/ethnicity, age, and educational attainment in the United States. The report concludes that development and implementation of culturally relevant and effective programs are needed to reduce the rates of suicide among groups that are disproportionately affected.
