The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) have produced a series of Best Practice Fact Sheets on five therapeutic drug classes to combat the potential for overprescribing and overutilization: Atypical Antipsychotics, Stimulants and Related Medications, Antidepressants, Proton Pump Inhibitors and Anticonvulsants. There are two fact sheets for each medication category – one related to use and the other related to dosage.
