Last week HHS recently launched a website that does a number of things that provide excellent background information and other useful information on parity. It describes the Presidential Memorandum that created the HHS-led Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Parity Task Force; it invites patients, families, consumer advocates, health care providers, insurers, and other stakeholders to submit comments on their experience with mental health and substance use disorder parity requirements; and it provides research and materials that may be helpful in understanding and using behavioral health benefits that should be at parity with general healthcare.
