Youth Era Launching in 7 Counties Across Pennsylvania

July 10, 2020

Guest Post from Corey Ludden, Pennsylvania State Director, Youth Era

I am excited to share that on July 18th, Youth Era Pennsylvania is launching 7 digital peer support hubs across the state of Pennsylvania. These hubs include services in the following counties: Delaware, Philadelphia, Luzerne, Carbon, Monroe, Pike, and Blair. We will be making a public announcement soon.

I am attaching a flyer for the PA Youth Orientation Day that includes a special Twitch stream on July 18th. During orientation, youth and families will learn more about how to access Youth Era Pennsylvania’s digital resources. Peer support specialists will be available in chat to provide peer support and answer any questions, and youth will have opportunities to win gift cards and prizes. All of these services will and always will be free. We are very thankful that this expansion is made possible in part by a private donor out of Delaware County, PA. Please feel free to forward/share this announcement broadly!

Also, we have several exciting announcements coming from Youth Era Pennsylvania, including the launch of a Pennsylvania Youth Advisory that will have its first meeting in September! More soon.

Please let me know if you have any questions. And please continue to keep in mind that this is an incredibly difficult time for our youth, and our digital services are vital. What we are offering to these hubs has been researched recently by the University of Oxford. For those of you who are new to Youth Era, I am including that project announcement here.  Daily, Youth Era will be producing ten hours each weekday of online peer support, streaming on multiple platforms for Pennsylvania youth.

Below is an introduction of one of our main streamers!
