“This Place Helps You Figure Out Who You Want to Be”: A Photovoice Experience with Urban Native Youth

May 14, 2013

Pathways to Positive Futures is out with another great webinar that you will not want to miss.

Photovoice is a research methodology that allows participants to take pictures that tell their stories in order to enhance their communities. This webinar will present the process and findings of a Photovoice project with a small group of Urban Native youth receiving culturally-embedded services at a community-based agency. Youth documented how these services support their cultural identity and self-efficacy. The process of implementing Photovoice within this agency, research findings, and how youth will use these findings to engage in youth advocacy efforts will be presented. A youth participant/co-researcher will present about her experience of engaging in Photovoice.
