As part of the package, participant teams will attend a weeklong Certificate Program that will run from November 4-8, 2019 at Georgetown University. The modules will be led by researchers, policymakers, and practitioners, and the curriculum will focus on foundational principles to transform probation culture and practice, including: applying an equity lens; youth, family, and community engagement; diversion and disposition decisions; the role of the probation officer; and leading transformational change.
Teams will receive both on-site and distance technical assistance to develop new policies and practices; identify and advance best practice implementation strategies; train staff and stakeholders to promote buy-in and collaboration; and assess, evaluate, and sustain progress by developing and implementing a Capstone Project to advance system-wide improvements in their jurisdiction. Upon approval of a Capstone Project, participants will receive an Executive Certificate from Georgetown University and join CJJR’s Network of over 1,200 Fellows.
Applications are due by Friday, July 26, 2019. Apply now!
