Health provider toolkit for adolescent and young adult (AYA) males

February 06, 2014

The Boys Initiative, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting achievement and health for boys and young men, has launched the Partnership for Male Youth and released the Partnership’s Health Provider Toolkit for Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Males. This Toolkit is an online resource for health care providers who interact with males ages 10-26 and covers nine major health domains such as mental health, substance abuse, trauma, and sexual/ reproductive health to name a few.

In the next few months the Toolkit material will be adapted as a resource for parents and AYA males as well. For further information you can review the January 22 Toolkit launch webinar and a brief overview of the project by Dr. Richard S. Pelman, one of the project’s steering committee members.
