“Habla Con Tus Hijos” Spanish-Language Resource for Parents

September 14, 2009

It is consistently shown through national research that kids who learn about the risks of drugs from their parents are up to 50% less likely to use drugs than those who do not. To encourage the growth of Hispanic parents to have open, honest conversations with their children about drugs, Habla Con Tus Hijos provides tips and tools on communicating that are relevant to the Hispanic community.

Beginning a “difficult conversation” about drugs and alcohol can be easier with the valuable tools provided in Habla Con Tus Hijos for Spanish-speaking parents. The Habla Con Tus Hijos program is in partnership with the Time To Talk parent movement. Awareness is an essential factor in the prevention of drug and alcohol use in children.
