Five reasons we like the Center for Health & Health Care in Schools (CHHCS)

- IT’S CONNECTED. By its very name & purpose, CHHCS puts mental health in a broad context. A visit to the healthinschools.org web site provides documents & tools related to children’s mental health but also reminds the viewer of other resources in schools – teachers, front-office staff, nurses, school-based health centers – who can and should be part of any school-based mental health initiative.

- IT OFFERS PRACTICAL ADVICE. CHHCS worked with 15 sites across the US to support immigrant and refugee students and their families. The web site shares tools from the program. Here’s a sample:
