Dear Family Leaders and Friends, 

By now you may have heard that Diane Flashnick, a wonderful colleague and former Executive Director of the South Carolina Federation of Families, passed away on Sunday, May, 28, 2017 after a hard fought, three year battle with pancreatic cancer. 

A celebration of Diane’s life will be held the afternoon of Saturday, June 24, 2017. Diane’s son, Brett Ryan Flashnick and her daughter-in-law McKenzie Flashnick ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the South Carolina Federation of Families that Diane cared so much about.

It is with a very heavy heart that I share with you that Diane Flashnick has passed away peacefully early Sunday morning. She was truly a warrior in all that she did; not least of all in her 3 and half year battle with cancer. Diane was truly a trailblazer in her work for families and children South Carolina. We will continue to honor her legacy and vision. Having had the privilege of traveling across the country with her, I know she has many friends far and wide whose lives are enriched for having known her. 

As many have said, the planet is a little darker without Diane’s light. She will be missed by all.
