    • USDA COVID-19 Federal Rural Resources Guide: a one-stop-shop of federal programs that can be used by rural communities, organizations and individuals impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
    • USDA Telehealth Service Changes Summary :  A summary to help interested parties understand the telehealth changes and explore new ways to support health care providers as they increase or transition to virtual care services.
    • USDA COVID-19 Information page :  An information page for the latest news on USDA actions to help during the COVID-19 pandemic.
    • USDA Food and Nutrition COVID-19 :  An information page for the latest news on USDA actions related to food and nutrition programs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
    • Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT):  A new program authorized by the Families First Coronavirus Act that provides assistance to families of children eligible for free or reduced-price meals dealing with school closures.
    • Feeding Program Partnership in Response to COVID-19:  A collaboration with the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty, McLane Global, PepsiCo, and others to deliver nearly 1,000,000 meals to students in a limited number of rural schools closed due to COVID-19.
    • Meals for Kids Site Finder:  An online tool to help families find meals for children while schools are closed during the coronavirus pandemic.
    • Farmers to Families Food Box :  USDA is exercising authority under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act to purchase and distribute up to $3 billion of agricultural products to those in need.

  • Rural Health Safety Education Program:
    Proposals are due July 1, 2020.  The RHSE program proposals are expected to be community-based outreach education programs, such as those conducted through Human Science extension outreach that provide individuals and families with: information as to the value of good health at any age; information to increase individual or family’s motivation to take more responsibility for their own health; information regarding rural environmental health issues that directly impact human health; information about and access to health promotion and educational activities; and training for volunteers and health services providers concerning health promotion and health care services for individuals and families in cooperation with state, local, and community partners.
  • Distance Learning and Telemedicine Program:
    Accepting applications through July 13, 2020.  Helps rural communities use the unique capabilities of telecommunications to connect to each other overcoming the effects of remoteness and low population density.  Program Fact Sheet
  • Community Facilities Direct Loan and Grant Program:
    Provides affordable funding to develop essential community facilities in rural areas.  Examples of essential facilities include Health care facilities such as hospitals, medical clinics, dental clinics, nursing homes or assisted living facilities.  Program Fact Sheet
  • Rural Community Development Initiative Grants :
    Grants are awarded to help non-profit housing and community development organizations, low-income rural communities and federally recognized tribes support housing, community facilities and community and economic development projects in rural areas.  Program Fact Sheet
