SAMHSA produces infographics on young adults

Visit the SAMHSA website to download data infographics about older adolescents and young adults with behavioral health challenges.  

Older Adolescents (16- to 17-year-olds): Pie chart demonstrating the percentage of 16- to 17-year-olds with co-occurring major depressive episode and substance use disorders who received treatment for these conditions. Total number reporting co-occurring conditions is 214,000, but only 5.5% received treatment for both. The chart is divided into 4 segments, with 53.3% receiving no treatment for these disorders, 40.7% receiving treatment for depression only, 5.5% receiving treatment for both, and 0.5% receiving treatment for substance use only.
