- On June 10, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced a $60 million funding opportunity to support navigators in federally-facilitated and State Partnership Marketplaces in 2014-2015. Navigators were a key resource to millions of Americans during the first phase of open enrollment and will continue to play a critical role in informing people about their healthcare options.
With the implementation of the ACA and parity, behavioral health now lies at the forefront of our nation¹s healthcare system, expanding health coverage and the range of available services to millions of individuals who are both uninsured and live with a mental health or substance use problem.
