Health Science Administrator/Program Officer The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is seeking a Health Science Administrator to serve as Program Officer for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Research Program within the Services Research and Clinical Epidemiology Branch, (SRCEB) Division of Services and Intervention Research, (DSIR) NIMH.
As Program Officer, the candidate will have overall responsibility for providing scientific leadership to the planning, development, organization, administration and evaluation of a broad range of multi-faceted, extramurally-funded research projects that crosscut several areas of child and adolescent mental health services research within SRCEB.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent level of training in an area of science related to child and adolescent mental health services research, and demonstrated experience and a strong track-record in the initiation, oversight, evaluation and conduct of research.
Experience is preferred in one or more of the following areas: Child and adolescent mental health services research, child development, developmental psychopathology, quality improvement and implementation research in mental health, the ecology of child mental health care, health information technology, and health informatics applicable to child and adolescent mental health services.
Also required: A history of collaborations and strong writing skills, including a track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
This is a career position with the U.S. government and requires U.S. citizenship. The salary range for this position is $89,033 to $136,771 depending upon qualifications and experience (GS-13 or 14 pay grade).
