Okay Network faithful who have been involved in the system of care world for years, nothing new here. A new study by the Center for Studying Health System Change (HSC) for the nonpartisan, nonprofit National Institute for Health Care Reform (NIHCR) shows what we already know - ya gotta work as a team, and guess what? You will save money to boot. It's hard to keep up with the reports that come out almost daily with the "revelation" that individuals and families need to be involved in the treatment planning process. This is in your wheel house folks - get involved with the physician community and let them know that you know this dynamic and more important can teach a thing or two about it. Substitute the phrase "youth with emotional challenges and their families" with "diabetes, congestive heart failure and obesity and you will be right at home...
