FUN! The universal word that denotes something amusing, pleasurable, and comfortable. And we’re always attracted to doing something that’s fun. Although what people consider to be funny of course varies by culture, but generally, if you want to persuade people to do certain things, or have them behave in a specific way, using the “fun factor” always works more effectively.
As proven by this interesting experiment in Stockholm, endorsed by Volkswagen Sweden entitled “The Fun Theory” to promote healthy living by persuading people how to take the stairs instead of the escalator in subways stations. Easier said than done, right? Well, the inspiration came from the ebony & ivory of a piano’s keyboard, and the musicians? The pedestrians! And the rest… as they say is history!
