Family & Youth Roundtable loads up on tips for Awareness Week!
May 10, 2013
All week long, the Family & Youth Roundtable (FYRT) will be providing tips on ways you can get involved to reduce mental health stigma and raising awareness via email, twitter, facebook and on their www.fyrtblog.org and www.stigmaaction.com websites! They are encouraging you to share what efforts you, your family or your program or agency are taking to raise awareness and help eradicate stigma, discrimination and disparities within Children’s Services as we know them!
FYRT hopes you will join them in their efforts to raise awareness to issues specific to children, youth and families who face behavioral health challenges, not only for Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week, which takes place the first full week in May, but also for the entire month of May, which is also Mental Health Awareness Month. So what are you waiting for Network faithful? Check out their websites and show them some Network love!
But before you go… sit back and enjoy this video which was created completely by a Youth-team and also features youth and Transition-Aged Youth (TAY) who have or are currently receivng services within San Diego’s Children’s System of Care. Please also feel free to let them know if you would like to share YOUR thoughts, ideas and plan(s) of action to eliminate stigma.
