Everyone Plays a Role in Suicide Prevention: Turning Strategy Into Action

2 Comments | Posted

It's not too late to register and attend "Everyone Plays a Role in Suicide Prevention: Turning Strategy Into Action," an interactive event that will include a keynote speaker, knowledgeable plenary presenters, and a panel representing high-risk populations. Following the general session, participants will engage in action sessions to learn about evidence-based practices and make individualized action plans specific to their organizations and communities. The event will kick off "75 Days of Action" to put plans into action and begin to reduce suicides dramatically by National Suicide Awareness Day on September 10, 2013.

The event will be held at Northwestern University's Thorne Auditorium, 375 East Chicago Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, and will be broadcast nationally via echo sites. Note: You do not have to attend the main event in Chicago to participate via echo sites.

The event was in June. You can contact Everyone Plays a Role via email to see if they will be providing additional trainings. I will check as well.

I couldn't access the reg site. Who is putting this on at Northwest? Sounds like a great way to model community responsibility.
