Erin Casey speaks to an 8th grade class about "snap judgments" and mental health. This is a great example of how young adults can effectively reach out to younger youth with great words of encouragement. Nicely done Erin!

erinandnatalieAbout Where I Stand (from the website description)
"Where I Stand is a movement, to empower and encourage ourselves and others to stand up for something we’re passionate about in the face of what is difficult.

Our mission is to inspire others to commit to working for the prevention and  intervention of mental illness through education, awareness, and research.

Where I Stand is unique in that is focuses on prevention of mental illness, such as eating disorders through awareness, education and research. This is fundamental to our organization because preventative mental health planning can avoid the potentially fatal consequenses and monumental costs associated with the development of severe mental illness."
