Network faithful are encouraged to take note of a great innovation taking place at Penn State College of Medicine. Terry Wolpaw, M.D., vice dean for educational affairs, is overseeing revisions to the school's curriculum aimed at helping students understand the way care delivery models, socioeconomic determinants of health, and payment approaches affect treatment outcomes. A key part of this is having first-year students serve as patient navigators.
