National Certification as a Parent Support Provider certainly helps to assure employers and the general public that you know how to connect parents (and their family members) to resources (natural and paid) in way that they know how and have confidence to do for themselves in the future.Having walked in those shoes is the best way to coach and empower other parents to guide their child, youth, or emerging adults to build resilience and use wellness skills. PSPs also advocate with family members, professional, and policy makers to create and maintain helping systems that are responsive to the individual's needs and support healthy people.Apply for certification at www.certification.ffcmh.org/apply
