National Council giving back to retired leaders in behavioral health
December 30, 2014
Now this is what I call an uber cool “giving back” type of announcement. Good on ya, National Council.
For decades, the National Council has invested in the mental health and addiction treatment workforce with a range of distinctive, high-quality programs such as the Middle Management Academy, Executive Leadership Program, Addressing Health Disparities, and dozens of learning communities on topics that run the gamut. Our goal is to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge to stay at the forefront of best practices in mental health and addiction treatment and to develop into exceptional health care leaders.
As part of this commitment to do good by giving back, the National Council also has a history of providing scholarships to people living with behavioral health conditions to attend our annual Conference, the nation’s premier specialty health care conference.
But did you know that we also provide scholarships to retired CEOs and to other important groups who spent their careers in community mental health or addiction treatment?
If you have spent your life’s work in behavioral health and have recently retired, we encourage you to apply for a scholarship to join us at the 2015 National Council Conference in Orlando, Florida, April 20-22. Please contact Bridget Branch at BridgetB@theNationalCouncil.org or 202-684-7457 for more details.
You gave of yourself throughout your career — now let us give back to you.
