Health care reform serves as an important way to ensure that children's mental health services become a part of the health care insurance standard across the country. Not only do we as advocates need to educate people about the importance of health care reform itself, but how health care reform holds opportunities for children and families to get health insurance with coverage that allows them to receive not only mental health services, but services that are informed by the body of knowledge developed within the system of care movement and the values and principles that define that movement.
